Sales information
On ordering a painting
You can buy a painting in two different ways.
Make an appointment. If you are interested meeting the artist or if you are considering buying a painting but you would like to see the original before you make the purchase, then you can make an appointment for a viewing of the artwork at my home. You can contact me directly via info@stefaniewierda.com. Or you can contact me via the information form on my website to make an appointment with me.
You can come and view the paintings on location in Delfgauw to decide for yourself whether you will make a purchase or not. We can also discuss the possibility of a trial placement at your home. If you decide to buy the painting you will be asked to make a down payment of 35% of the purchasing price in cash on location. For the remaining 65% of the purchasing price you will receive an invoice.
2. Via the webshop. You order a painting via the web shop. When you opt for the web shop purchase please read the following information below.
Payment
In the web shop you can pay in two ways:
1. Via iDEAL.
The payment is provided by Mollie Payments. This is a big online payment provider which many web shops in the Netherlands use. This payment provider ensures that your transactions are processed in a secure way. Because your payment is processed on the same day, this is the fasted and most convenient way to pay.
2. Via a bank transaction.
In this case you can transfer the payment amount to the following bank account number: NL39 ASNB 0781264456. Account name holder: Stefanie Wierda with a reference to the order number.
The painting will only become your property when you have paid the entire amount on the invoice.
Delivery time
As soon as I have received your payment I will proceed to deliver your order. The delivery of the original paining to your home will take up to 5-7 working days. The process of production and delivery of a reproduction will take at least 2 weeks as third parties are involved in the production of the reproduction. With the payment via iDEAL the delivery time starts on the same date as the payment. When you transfer the payment via bank transfer I usually receive the transfer the next day. The delivery time starts from the moment I receive your payment.
Packaging
The purchased painting will be wrapped with great care in bubble wrap foil and packed in a custom sized cardboard box.
Upon receipt of the painting keep the packaging material so that you can use it in the case you may want to return the painting.
Delivery
There are two delivery options
1. Delivery of big paintings (from 70×100 cm and bigger) will be handled by the company Easy2send. The costs of the shipment are variable and will depend on the size of the canvas and the time in which the painting will need to be delivered. The costs also be determined by the customers location and special request on delivery time. The customer will be consulted on these costs and upon agreement decided. The costs of delivery are not included in the purchasing price but will be charged separately.
2. Delivery via Post NL.
Smaller paintings (70×90 cm and smaller) will be signed for being sent and insured by Post NL. The cost for this currently is € 14.90. These costs factor in the size and weight of the painting. PostNL delivers packaged from Tuesday on to Saturday. You can monitor the delivery via the Track&Trace-code. You will have to sign upon receipt of the painting.
Of course you can always choose to collect the painting from its location in Delfgauw which is free from costs. Additional benefit to this is that you can meet the artist and that you can view the painting in real life before you take it home. When I have received your order and payment, I will contact you to discuss the arrangements for delivery.
Returning a purchased painting
When you decide that the painting which you bought online is not for any reason what had expected it to be, you will need to inform me within two weeks of your purchase that you want to return the painting.
When you have informed me of the wish to return the painting you have two weeks to return it to me.
It is of utmost importance that you handle the painting and the packaging with great care and you must ensure the painting is properly packaged upon return. If you decide to return the painting it must be returned without any damage. Any damage to the painting that is found upon return will be independently assessed by my insurance company and costs of repair will be deducted from the amount (the purchasing costs) that is due to be returned to you.
HOW DOES ONE RETURN THE PAINTING?
You can send an email to info@stefaniewierda.com that states:
Your name
The order number of your purchase
Which painting you want to return
The reason for the return
To which bank account number the purchasing costs can be returned.
You will then receive a reply with the address to which you can return the painting, either via Post.NL or in person.
If you prefer, you can download the Cancellation-revocation form to cancel your order. You can fill this in and send it to me, but this is not obligatory.
Kindly return the painting in its original state, signed and insured via Post.NL or Easy2Send. Please return the painting in the original packaging you have received it or ensure it is very securely packaged with bubble plastic foam in a fitting cardboard box to prevent any damage.
The costs of returning the painting will be refunded together with the purchasing price payment that was made. This means that returning a painting is free of charge.
You will receive confirmation to cancellation and revocation of your purchase after I have signed upon receipt of the returned painting and after a careful examination to see if there is damage to the painting. Should there be any damage to the painting my insurance will contact you to inform you about the assessed damages and the consequential compensation that will be required.
After confirmation of the cancellation of the purchasing agreement I will return to you the payed amount including the return costs (both to and from your address) within two weeks. Normally this should take no longer than a week.
